POSITION TITLE: Clinical Applications Supervisor

DESCRIPTION:
Provides leadership to the development, delivery and support of clinical applications systems for all Hospital IT clinical applications customers. Support installed systems in an effective and efficient manner ensuring minimal disruptions, errors or service outages. Assign project and technical resources based on the prioritization of enterprise projects. Provides support to the Service Desk.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop, implement and maintain processes, procedures, and communication channels to ensure optimal level of customer service and performance for the Clinical Applications team.
2. Results oriented. Sets performance benchmarks and goals for the Clinical Application team. Monitors actual performance and direct needed improvement changes.
3. Assists the Manager of IT Applications in preparing and monitoring capital and operating budgets for areas of responsibility and works with PMO to develop project plans/resources, when applicable. Ensures processes and staffing are in place to meet or exceeds targets. Weekly monitoring of staffs performance on "projects" in primavera. Assist in development of action plans to move project statuses from "red" to "green" in a timely manner.
4. Assists Manager of IT Applications in the development, monitoring and updating an applications long range plan in coordination with customers and IT.
5. Responds to IT Business Consultant requests in a timely, customer focused manner.
6. Ensures a productive work environment by providing appropriate professional development and mentoring for all team members in order to provide high levels of customer service, yet staying within budgetary guidelines; create an environment of trust and high morale, and strong ongoing communications.
7. Ensures optimal application performance by monitoring application changes, ongoing maintenance, implementing patches and upgrades and minimizing downtime. Ensures timely updates to the application database.
8. Follows Change Review Board requirements.
9. Works in a collaborative manner in communications, goal setting and issues management with staff as well as external customers, vendors and other F&CH IT staff.

- Bachelors in Information System of Project Management preferred.
