POSITION TITLE: IT PROJECT LEADER

DESCRIPTION:

This role is responsible for providing leadership of multifunctional and technical teams to deliver Information Technology projects in a time driven, effective manner. This role requires a strong understanding of information technology concepts and use of our SPRING IT stage gate process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage one or more projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time & cost to deliver specified requirements using the SPRING IT and SPRING IT express project methodology.
• Create the business case, project schedule, time and cost estimates and presents to the SPRING IT Gatekeepers.
• Provides work direction and leadership to assigned project teams.
• Tracking, monitoring and communicating project progress against the approved project plan, objectives, scope, requirements, cost estimates, quality measures, standard processes and milestones.
• Track and manage all project financials.
• Ensure documentation is completed according to SPRING IT guidelines.
• Ensure quality is achieved as planned and in alignment with Client’s defined standards.
• Escalate decisions and unresolved issues as required.
• Facilitate project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation.
• Ensure satisfactory transfer of maintenance and support upon project completion.
• Provide training and guidance to other project leaders on project management techniques and the SPRING IT process methodology.
• Where required, negotiate with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Negotiate with cross-functional and technical teams through all aspects of the project including scope, objectives, resource allocation, issue resolution, schedule, requirements and design.
• Provide backup for facilitating SPRING IT gatekeeper meetings.
• Assist with building resource plans for entire ITS project portfolio.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/BA in a business related discipline
• PMI (Project Management Institute) Certification desirable
• Fluency in English required, fluency in addition language(s) desirable
• MBA desirable
• A minimum of 5-7 years managing Information Technology projects
• 3-5 years experience working with stage-gate process methodology desirable
• A minimum of 5-7 years working with a project management tool (e.g. MS Project)
